Laughter yoga is a unique technique which helps people learn to use intentional laughter for all the health benefits and as a physical exercise.

The yoga part is just the breathing that is done. There is no yoga poses to do.
This is beneficial to all ages and states of health. It can be done seated and or standing.
During a session we laugh, chant, sing, dance (even while sitting) and learn to be more playfull.
Laughter yoga is about not only using laughter for health but also learning
how to be child-like and playful again.

almost instantly which is part of a good meditation .

People often feel this way yet most of the laughter is done for only a few seconds with some external event or with a friend. To get all the health benefits, one needs to laugh for at least 10- 15 minutes at a time. Also laughter needs to be deep and loud enough to stimulate deep in the belly.
In most social situations this is not appropriate. Lastly, if you want all the benefits… one is best not to leave laughter to a ‘chance’ situation. Put intention and regularity to your laughter practice.
